Overview: cbs Malaysia / Singapore is the subsidiary of cbs, a leading international consultancy headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany. We deliver high-end quality consulting and technology services to large industrial corporations that run SAP. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Business Development Manager (Sales or Channels). The ideal candidate will have an excellent communication skill, and the ability to multitask effectively.


Position: Business Development Manager (Sales or Channels)

Location: Malaysia / Singapore (PR/Citizens only)

Module: SAP Business Development: Sales, Partner Management

Expectation and Responsibilities as Sales Manager:

  • You will be in the driver seat to implement the go-to-market strategy of cbs in Malaysia or Singapore and across the region in close alignment with management.
  • You provide solutions to the clients by understanding their pain points and mitigate the challenges by focusing on the best possible way to move to SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Enable the clients to get most out of other SAP software products.
  • Accelerate the integration with cbs service portfolio.
  • Responsible for the acquisition of new customers through personal professional network and cbs sales channels 
  • Drive the development and management of existing client base in the region.
  • Influence and align clients with conviction in view of cbs as the “Preferred Supplier” and trusted advisory. 
  • Generate and develop leads, opportunities and proposals in collaboration with the regional management team. 
  • Further develop the relationship between SAP and cbs and nurture and extend our partner network throughout the region.


Expectation and Responsibilities as Channels Manager:

  • Develop relationships between partners in the SAP ecosystem and cbs
  • Ensure understanding of cbs’ portfolios, value proposition and offerings by Partner
  • Cultivate a disciplined sales pipeline including lead management, qualification, and establishing sales methodologies in the sales process with existing and new partners
  • Generate and develop proposals in collaboration with the regional Management and Sales team


cbs' wide service portfolio includes unique expertise around System Landscape Transformation supporting companies to restructure their SAP systems, move to S/4HANA via Selective Data Transition and make use of the Cloud applying SAP Business Technology Platform. You will drive the “complete sales cycle” from lead generation to closure, but also involved during the project delivery to ensure customer satisfaction. Supported by the management team, you will develop deep relationships with the key decision makers of clients and uncover sales opportunities to enterprise clients.


Job requirements

General requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) and negotiation skills required.
  • Motivated and confident in engaging with management and German counterparts.
  • Thorough SAP portfolio and market understanding


Requirements as Sales Manager:

  • Professional network in Singapore and region in the SAP market
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in solution sales / consulting services
  • Able to develop executive level relationships.
  • Self-starter, result focused and able to work in a team environment.


Requirements as Channels Manager:

  • Professional network in the region in the SAP market
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Channels Management
  • Capable of grasping concepts related to a Channels/Partner Environment.
  • Ability to manage up to 50% travel in Asia
