Position: Internship Program 2025

Module: Legal Counsel/ Inside Sales

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Legal PMO in tracking project progress, timelines, and deliverables.

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, such as project plans, meeting minutes, issue logs, and status reports.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to help ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in ongoing projects.

• Maintain confidential records and legal documents with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  Help schedule and coordinate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder reviews.

• Assist in creating dashboards, summaries, and progress updates for internal reporting.

• Support initiatives to standardize templates and optimize workflows in legal operations.

• Conduct basic research on regulatory topics or compliance trends if required.

Project Support

• Assist project managers in tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

• Maintain project documentation (e.g., plans, status reports, issue logs).

Data Management & Reporting

• Help collect and consolidate project data.

• Prepare dashboards, reports, and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, or project management tools.

Meeting Coordination

• Schedule meetings, take meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.

• Help prepare materials for steering committee or project update meetings.

Tool Support

• Use project management tools (like Jira, MS Project, Trello, or Confluence) to track tasks and project updates.

• Learn and support the usage of PMO tools and templates.

Governance & Compliance

• Assist in ensuring project processes and documentation follow organizational standards and PMO guidelines.

• Support audits or internal reviews if required.

Process Improvement

• Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current workflows and suggest improvements.

• Help standardize templates, checklists, or documentation processes.

• Assist in prospecting new leads through online research, databases, and tools like LinkedIn or CRM platforms.

• Support the inside sales team in managing and updating the sales pipeline.

• Conduct initial outreach via email or phone to qualify leads and set up meetings for sales representatives.

• Help prepare sales materials, presentations, and proposals.

• Maintain accurate data in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce,).

• Follow up on leads and previous contacts to nurture opportunities.

• Assist in tracking KPIs, generating reports, and analyzing sales performance data.

• Collaborate with marketing to align campaigns and lead generation efforts.

• Participate in team meetings, contribute ideas, and gain insights into B2B/B2C sales strategies.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Interest in legal processes, compliance, or corporate governance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to speak in Mandarin will be an added advantage.

• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.

• Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Trello, or Asana is a plus.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word and CRM software is a plus.

• Strong communication and teamwork – interacting with cross-functional teams.

• Organizational skills – handling multiple tasks, deadlines, and updates.

• Attention to detail – especially in reporting and documentation.

• Eagerness to learn – willingness to pick up project tools, terms, and techniques on the job.

• High level of professionalism and discretion, especially when handling sensitive project information.

• Comfortable speaking with potential clients over phone/email.

• Basic understanding of sales concepts and customer relationship management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Law, Business, Project Management, or a related field.

• Or a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Or a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

• Current enrolment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in a relevant field. (Candidate must be able to provide Internship Placement letter from the University)
