cbs Malaysia is the subsidiary of cbs, a leading international consultancy headquartered in Heidelberg, Germany. We deliver high-end quality consulting and technology services to large industrial corporations that run SAP.


We are looking for a SAP Business Development Consultant / Lead who is passionate to grow with us in the APAC region. You will be an integral part of the Sales Team and help the local management to grow the business. You will establish and manage relationships with potential and existing clients, but also partners of cbs. To succeed, we equip you with relevant training and mentoring to develop your career in IT service sales on the fast track.


Your work at cbs

You focus on following tasks:

  • Focus sales efforts by studying and addressing customers’ business needs and requirements.
  • Service existing accounts, secure sales, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing a work schedule to call on existing or potential customers.
  • Follow up with partners and customers on outstanding sales matters, lead times, coordination of deliveries, price revisions, pricing terms and conditions, Letters of Authorization, brochures, etc.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls and other communication methods (e.g., email) with new prospects and existing customers to educate and inform them about our services.
  • Assist the sales team in preparing quotations and RFQ/RFPs and follow up on project tender-related matters.
  • Maintain a database (Salesforce, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information.
  • Provide solutions to clients by understanding their pain points and mitigating challenges, focusing on the best possible way to transition to SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Accelerate the integration with the cbs service portfolio.
  • Responsible for acquiring new customers through personal professional networks and cbs sales channels.
  • Drive the development and management of the existing client base in the region.
  • Generate and develop leads, opportunities, and proposals in collaboration with the regional management team.
  • Further develop the relationship between SAP and cbs, and nurture and extend our partner network throughout the region.

  • A graduate of a well-recognized university or a young professional with more than 3 years of industry experience, looking to change your career.
  • Seeking an exciting career path in sales.
  • Possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers.
  • An analytical and problem-solving consultant with a desire to develop your own skills and talents.
  • An eloquent and extroverted individual, happy to support our pre-sales cycle.
  • Passionate and determined, while appreciating teamwork.
  • Energetic, outgoing, and friendly in demeanour.
  • Eager to expand cbs with new sales, clients, and territories.
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, persuasive, and goal oriented.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.


Your qualification

  • Good Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Business studies, Marketing or other fields
  • Impressive presentation skills and ability to engage customers in workshops
  • Excellent in English (verbal and written)
  • Malaysian citizen or PR
  • Product and sales technique training and coaching will be provided
